'Bluey' trailer arrives at D23 a year ahead of its theatrical release
"Bluey" is coming to theaters on Aug. 6, 2027.
Queue the "Bluey" theme song, because the trailer for the film based on the hit animated series arrived on Friday at D23 during the Disney Entertainment Showcase.
It features Bluey and all the characters that fans know and love.
In September 2025, BBC Studios, Ludio Studio and Walt Disney Studios announced that a "Bluey" film was in the works and that it would be coming to theaters on Aug. 6, 2027.
Created by Joe Brumm, Bluey centers around an Australian blue heeler pup and her family -- mom Chilli, dad bandit and little sister Bingo.
The film is also slated to be available on Disney+ following a worldwide theatrical release.
The animated film will also feature the returning voice talents of Melanie Zanetti as Chilli and David McCormack as Bandit.

"Bluey" became the most-watched series on Disney+ in 2024 and won a Peabody Award in the children's youth category.
The series was also honored with Television Critics Association Awards in 2023 and 2024 for outstanding achievement in children's programming.
The "Bluey" series is available in more than 140 countries around the world.
To celebrate "Bluey" at D23, fans were able to meet Bluey and Bingo in "The Bluey Movie Booth" located on the expanded show floor at the event with a reservation.
