After decades of requests from cereal fans, Cheerios has teamed up with Ziploc PantrySeal to announce resealable cereal bags.

It's a natural pairing for cereal lovers, 90% of whom say they already take extra steps beyond simply closing the cereal box to help preserve freshness like folding the bag, rolling it, clipping it or even transferring it to another container.

"General Mills has received letters, emails and DMs asking for an easier way to reseal a cereal box, and we decided it was time to partner with the ultimate freshness brand: Ziploc," said Emilie Knox, Vice President and Business Unit Director for Cheerios at General Mills. "Cheerios with Ziploc PantrySeal takes a small, everyday cereal frustration and finally gives consumers the simple solution they've been asking for, making the whole routine easier and more enjoyable."

The resealable bag is designed to open only partially across the top to create a convenient "pour spout" as an easier way for the whole family to fill a bowl. Cheerios with Ziploc PantrySeal then seals closed right inside the box for cereal freshness you can reseal.

Available as a new option in the cereal aisle for both Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios, Cheerios with Ziploc PantrySeal.

Cheerios with Ziploc PantrySeal is being produced exclusively in Buffalo, New York, in the same place where Cheerios was first made in 1941.
