Crews working to put out 3-alarm fire at SF church

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Crews are working to put out a three-alarm fire at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in San Francisco Monday afternoon, fire officials said.

The church is at Borderick and California in the Lower Pacific Heights area.

SFFD says the fire is contained, but not yet controlled.

SFFD crews have responded to a two-alarm fire at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the Lower Pacific Heights area.

Over 100 firefighters are deployed to put out the flames.

Video posted on social media by the San Francisco Fire Department shows smoke coming out of the church and that there is scaffolding around part of the building.

There is a power outage in the area, according to the PG&E outage map.

Fire officials say it's a multistory church and no injuries have been reported.

The shelter-in-place order in the area of 2800 Block of California St. has been lifted.
