Hulu releases chilling trailer for new 'Clown Panic' documentary
An exploration of the 2016 "killer" clown sightings that terrified the country
As a part of its Huluween programming, Hulu is releasing a chilling new documentary "Clown Panic."
The documentary investigates the viral 2016 "killer" clown sightings that began in South Carolina, when children reported seeing clowns in the woods. As more and more sightings across the country were reported, it sent the public into a frenzy, demonstrating "a moment of deep national anxiety."
"Clown Panic" features archival footage, internet videos and interviews with witnesses, law enforcement, clowns and cultural commentators.
The film is directed by Ed Perkins.
It premieres Oct. 12 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
