Jacob Elordi reveals the one thing Ridley Scott did that enthralled him on 'The Dog Stars' set
The film also stars Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin, Guy Pearce and Benedict Wong
It's safe to say that Jacob Elordi enjoyed his time working with Ridley Scott on "The Dog Stars."
"I'd argue that he's on everyone's list of cinematic heroes," Elordi said in a new featurette for the film.
"The Dog Stars" follows a group of survivors living in a post-apocalyptic world after a virus wipes out humanity.
Elordi called Scott a visual storyteller and was particularly interested in his process on set.
"Ridley uses like, ten cameras. And he sits in a trailer and watches A-cam, go to B-cam, go to C-cam and he cuts the film in his head watching the monitors. And I don't think there's anyone else in the world that films that way," he said.
"I think it helps a lot when the guy is an artist," added Josh Brolin. "I had an idea for a scene and as I was describing it, he was drawing, and those are the four shots that we did, almost identically."
At the film's London premiere, Elordi once again sang Scott's praises to On The Red Carpet's Joelle Garguilo.
"He pioneered modern cinema. Everything that we watch, everything that we do, Ridley Scott has a hand in it," he said.
"The Dog Stars" opens Friday in theaters.
