

NOVATO, Calif. (KGO) -- Several lanes of Highway 101 have reopened after a crash brought down power lines and sparked several small brush fires Thursday morning in Novato, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. where Highway 101 and 37 meet at South Novato Boulevard.
CHP Marin posted several photos to X showing power lines across the highway and several cars stopped in both directions.
PG&E is reporting that more than 6,000 customers are without power in the area.
Novato police are urging drivers to avoid the area, with several nearby ramps also shut down as emergency crews work the scene.
