At least 5 people injured following stabbing at Thunder Valley Casino in NorCal: sheriff's office

LINCOLN, Calif. (KGO) -- At least five people are injured following a stabbing on Wednesday at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Lincoln in Northern California, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office received a report of a possible stabbing around 7 p.m., and upon arrival, took a suspect into custody.

Sheriff's say one person was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The other four victims were treated on scene by Thunder Valley Casino EMT's and CAL FIRE.

Their injuries are not life threatening.

Sheriff's say at this point of the investigation, the suspect knew all five of the victims.

There is no threat to the public.
