Camp counselor arrested for sexually assaulting minor at UC Berkeley, authorities say

BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A Vallejo man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor at UC Berkeley, authorities confirm.

The assault happened Saturday in a residence hall.

Jail records obtained by ABC7 Eyewitness News show the victim is under 14 years old.

The 27-year-old suspect is reportedly a camp counselor. A UC Berkeley spokesperson said the camp is not run by UC Berkeley.

He has been booked at Alameda County Jail.
