White nationalist group Patriot Front marches through Washington DC during America 250 events

WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of people appearing to be masked members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front marched through Washington, D.C., on the nation's 250th birthday.

The group was seen near the Capitol late Saturday morning.

Many members covered their faces and wore hats featuring the Patriot Front logo. The group was heard chanting, "Reclaim America."

In one image that has gone viral on social media, members of the group were seen riding Metro, with a woman sitting on the train surrounded by the group.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said he disagrees with what the group stands for but cited its right to free speech.
