Long Island woman struck, injured by her own car: Police

A Long Island woman is hospitalized after being struck by her own car.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. Friday in the driveway of the woman's home in Huntington Station.

Suffolk County police say 60-year-old Suman Pasricha was getting out of her 2025 Honda CR-V when it started rolling backward and hit her.

She was taken to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries.

Police have impounded the vehicle as part of their investigation.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
