Millions of honeybees escaped into a rural Texas neighborhood after a semitrailer carrying about 400 hives tipped over, officials said.
"It was really neat to be able to show our 3-year-old, these are the monsters you've been hearing. You're completely right," her mother said.
Urban beekeeper Susan Donahue brought out the hive and went inside her home in the Rockridge neighborhood to carry out jars of honey, when she heard commotion on the street and a car door shut. Moments later, the hive was gone.
Investigators are searching for the thieves who took off with hundreds of beehives.
Man believes the thief took off with over one million bees from his bee yard.
A massive swarm of bees killed a California family's four dogs - and it turns out the bees belong to a neighbor.
