Discovery Green showcases the art of Alebrijes and Nahuales

HOUSTON, Texas -- Eight towering, colorful creatures are on display at Discovery Green this fall in a celebration of Mexican art, culture, and imagination.

The outdoor exhibition is called Fantastic Animals from Mexico: Alebrijes and Nahuales. Each statue, designed by Mexican artists, stands about 20 feet tall and features vivid colors and intricate patterns.

The installation is open to the public and free to view now through October 18, 2026.
