'DJ Blake' brings the party to special needs community

GLEN MILLS, Pennsylvania -- Blake Rouen, better known as DJ Blake, is a 19-year-old with autism who uplifts the special needs community when he raises the roof.

Rouen, who is from Moorestown, New Jersey, was introduced to the concept of DJing at a school function nearly 10 years ago.

When his parents got him his own mixing board, he was hooked.

DJ Blake began elevating his skills with the help of friends, family, and others in the music community.

He then volunteered to DJ basketball games at Moorestown High School, which he has done for five years.

Through word of mouth, the teenager began getting hired for birthday parties, community events, and even a couple weddings.

And he often makes appearances at events that support the special needs community.

One such event was the PA State Police Troop K Sunny Day Camp 2026, which took place at the Brandy Wine Youth Club.

The annual one-day event is one of 16 that take place across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

There, special needs families get to meet troopers in a non-emergency situation and better understand one another.
