Takeaway of the Day
The Bay Area is experiencing a bright, mostly sunny start to the final week in October. The afternoon has been breezy, with gusts between 15 and 25 miles per hour, and high temperatures reaching into the lower 60s near the coast, mid-to-upper 60s near the bay, and upper 60s to lower 70s inland. Overnight, we can expect partly cloudy skies with low temperatures mainly in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, breezy, and slightly cooler than today. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 50s to near 60 at the coast, mid-60s around the bay shoreline, and upper 60s inland. The remainder of the week will bring us gradual cooling along with increasing clouds, and there is a slight chance of showers from late Friday into the weekend. Meanwhile, a Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday. During high tides, there may be localized flooding near the bay shorelines of San Pablo Bay and San Francisco Bay and along the Pacific coastline -- especially in low-lying areas.
