Takeaway of the Day
Today got off to a gray and dreary start near the coast and bay, as the marine layer lingered into mid-morning, but skies brightened by early afternoon, and temperatures warmed to near average. Highs ranged from lower 60s at the coast to upper 70s around the bay shoreline to upper 80s inland. Winds also increased a bit in the late afternoon, especially near the coast where wind speeds ranged from 20 to about 25 miles per hour. This breezy pattern will continue into the early evening hours before tapering off later tonight. We can also expect the marine layer to deepen and expand across the bay and locally inland overnight.
A Look Ahead
The next few days will become gradually warmer, with the peak of warming on Tuesday--when highs will range from 70 degrees at the coast to upper 80s near the bay to lower 90s inland. Our weather will turn gradually cooler beginning Wednesday and continuing into next weekend. During the next seven days, skies will be mostly sunny from the bay to inland, but low clouds will linger near throughout the day along the coast.
