Person found fatally shot in Santa Clara; house fire contained: police

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are investigating an active crime scene in Santa Clara where one person has died and a house caught fire, the department said on Friday.

Police say they were called to the scene in the 600 block of Enright Avenue at around 12:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a victim with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was later pronounced deceased.

Authorities also found fire at the residence.

SKY7 footage shows crews battling a structure fire in the early afternoon. A SWAT team was also spotted on the ground.

Authorities say the fire is now under control.

The identify of the victim has not been released and police say a suspect is not in custody at this time.
