Rideshare driver arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting juvenile during San Jose ride: police
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A rideshare driver was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile in San Jose during a ride, according to police.
Authorities say police responded to the incident on Sept. 12 just after 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Paseo de San Antonio.
A preliminary investigation determined that the juvenile was traveling in a rideshare car when the suspect, Anuj Kumar, allegedly sexually assaulted the juvenile.
Police say they identified the suspect and vehicle using Flock cameras and ultimately arrested Kumar on Sept. 13 with help from the Foster City Police Department.
Kumar was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for sexual assault of a minor.
