2 boys under 10 allegedly steal parent's car, hit vehicle and critically injure woman walking dog

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Two Oakland boys under the age of 10 reportedly stole a parent's car before losing control, hitting another vehicle and a woman walking her dog, who is in critical condition, police say

Oakland police say that the young boys were driving a white Toyota sedan when they sideswiped a car heading the other way and hit a woman walking her dog at 35th and Mangels Avenue. It's not far from Interstate 580.

The car then crashed into a retaining wall.

Police say that the two boys stole their parents' car and took off at a high rate of speed before the crash.

The pedestrian and both minors were taken to the hospital. Police say that the woman is in critical condition and the two boys are stable.
