Takeaway of the Day
The Bay Area enjoyed sunny and mild autumn weather today. High temperatures reached into the mid-60s at the coast, lower 70s around the bay shoreline, and mid-to-upper 70s inland. Tonight will bring increasing high clouds, with overnight lows mainly in the upper 40s to lower 50s. However, it will be chillier in the far North Bay, where lows will drop into the upper 30s in Santa Rosa, Lakeport and Ukiah.
A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will be dry and mild, much like today, but with thin, high clouds--or "filtered sunshine." Highs will be in the mid-60s at the coast, lower 70s near the bay, and lower to mid-70s inland. We can expect mainly sunny skies with gradual cooling early next week, followed by increasing clouds and a slight chance of showers by Friday.
We also have a COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY in effect until Thursday afternoon for the coastline and the shorelines of San Pablo Bay and San Francisco Bay.
During this time, high tides will be higher than normal, with a chance of localized flooding of parks, lots, and roads--especially in low-lying areas.
