Police say after "receiving an outpouring of cooperation, support, and information from the community" and using public safety technology, detectives were able to locate an 18-year-old suspect. The suspect was taken into custody Tuesday evening after being located at a residence on North Victoria Court.
Police say that a preliminary investigation suggested that Ramirez and the suspect were known acquaintances, and that Ramirez was shot in the early morning hours on Sunday after an altercation with the suspect. Police are still investigating the nature of the altercation.
